How do you create a site in Dreamweaver?

These instructions are specific to the use of Dreamweaver for the RTT project, but basically are the same for non-server interaction local sites. Follow these steps:

  1. Select Sites>Manage Sites and clicked the New>site button
  2. Put in name of site on first page of dialog and clicked next
  3. Select "No, I do not want to use server technology" and click next
  4. Select "Edit local copies on my machine", browse for your RTT_Course_Files from cvs, and click next.
  5. Select 'None' from the dialog drop down for "How do you connect to your remote server?" and click next.
  6. Click Done on the next page and the Manage Sites box.

In the left pane of Dreamweaver under the Files menu bar, you can select
the site name from the drop down list and it will load it.

The reason for no server technology is because we don't have direct user
access to the web servers and we use cvs outside of Dreamweaver to get
local copies of the files.
